KemenPPPA Reminds Voters Of The 2024 Election To Highlight Leadership Based On Gender Perspectives
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA) appealed to the public to become smart voters by choosing a gender-perspective nation leader in the 2024 General Election.
"Be a smart voter," said Deputy for Equality of Gender KemenPPPA Lenny N. Rosalin on the sidelines of a national dialogue event entitled "Gender and Climate Change Towards Conference of Parties (COP) 28", in Jakarta, Monday 31 July, was confiscated by Antara.
He said the general election (election) was a momentum that all Indonesian people had been waiting for who had the right to vote.
Lenny hopes that the community will be able to choose the leader of the nation and people's representatives who are truly able to solve the nation's problems, especially related to issues of women and children, as well as gender issues.
"Let us both be smart in choosing. Whoever the president, DPR, DPRD, and DPD will be able to make policies, activity programs that can really solve the nation's problems, especially related to issues of women and children, gender issues, both nationally and internationally," he said.

He added that Indonesia has many global commitments, starting from the ratification of the Convention International Convention on Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Convention on Children's Rights which in the future must continue to be fought for.
"All of that is part of our struggle," he said.
For this reason, education related to issues of women and children needs to continue, not only to voters, but also to education candidates for national leaders and legislators.
"Everyone needs to understand this issue (women and children issues, gender issues)," he said.
The reason, he continued, is that the number of women and children occupies 2/3 of the total population of Indonesia so that the issue of women and children should not be ruled out.
