Ahead Of Operations, KCIC Trains High-speed Trainers To Face Emergency Conditions
JAKARTA - The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) will operate limited or soft launching in August and operate commercially in October.
Ahead of the operation of KCJB, PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) held an emergency response training activity for officers.
The training for Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train officers was held on Tuesday, July 25.
This emergency response training is also a series of training programs for high-speed train operational human resources.
General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa explained that the activity aims to improve the expertise and competence of officers through simulations in various emergency conditions.
"This training is expected to shape and hone the ability in handling the emergency of fast train trips. Fast train officers must be able to act efficiently and structured in the event of an incident, operational constraints or emergency conditions in the operation of the fast train," Eva said in Jakarta, Friday, July 28.
Eva said there were three scenarios of emergency conditions that were simulated in this training activity with focus on events that required handling of officers and evacuating passengers in the station or platform area, on the high-speed train while on the flyover and while in the tunnel.
Furthermore, Eva said all high-speed train officers both at stations and during trips such as platform officers, passenger services, conductors, flight attendants, drivers, security, and others were given training.
Eva said, the training material was given directly by experts from China as part of the process of transferring knowledge or transfer knowledge to Indonesian human resources. Because good handling in emergency conditions will provide calm and comfort during the passenger evacuation process.

Eva added, KCIC really hopes that something really doesn't happen.
However, to prepare emergency conditions, all officers will be provided with the necessary knowledge.
'Security and comfort of passengers are the top priority for Fast Trains. For this reason, this training is not a short program that only happens once. Gradually, Fast Train HR will continue to be improved and get other training to ensure Fast Train operations are safe and comfortable for passengers," said Eva.
