Bobol Gas Station In Bogor, 3 Perpetrators Run Rp20 Million Finally Arrested

Bogor City Police arrested a member of a gang who broke into Shell's Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) on Jalan Sholeh Iskandar, Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City. The perpetrators brought cash and electronic goods with a total nominal value of Rp. 20 million.

The Head of Bogor City Police, Kombes Pol Bismo Teguh Prakoso, said the burglary took place last Friday at around 03.00 WIB. At that time, the patrol team from the Mass Breaker received information from the public that there had just been an act of theft at the gas station.

"Then the pursuit and arrest of the perpetrator with the initials J (26 years) was carried out, so that the perpetrator and his evidence were caught, in the form of money, cashier drawer, tools to break into, laptops and LED projectors," Bismo said in his statement, Tuesday, July 25.

Furthermore, Bismo revealed, the three fellow perpetrators are currently still on the People's Wanted List (DPO). The three are Baba (21), Rian (22), and Kamal (30) who fled when the police gave chase.

Bismo explained that this gang previously came from Bantar Kambing, Bogor Regency to the location. When visited, the gas station was closed and quiet, making this burglary easier.

"The perpetrators entered along with three other people with different tasks. Some of them waited, helped break the lock, damaged, then took the goods which amounted to around Rp. 20 million," he explained.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor City Police, Kompol Rizka Fadhil, said the police were pursuing the money that had been scattered on the road. Not long after, the police managed to find the perpetrator who fled using a motorbike.

"We are tight, and efforts are being made to pile up. We managed to secure one perpetrator, while the other three managed to escape," said Rizka.

During the pursuit of the perpetrator, he said, there had been a collision so that members of the police had suffered injuries. However, the injuries were not too severe.

"The perpetrator also fell and we can make arrests. But the other three managed to escape, but we have obtained identities," he said.

As a result of their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of five years in prison and Article 480 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 7 years in prison.
