Present At The G20 India, Sri Mulyani Brings The Indonesian Mission To Become A PInation Of The World Energy Transition

JAKARTA - As a growing market and country, Indonesia has a very crucial leadership role in the green transition to low-carbon countries.

This was stated by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati when speaking at the High Level G20 Side-event: Seminar Achieving Growth-Friendly Climate Action and Financing for Emerging and Development Economics, in India.

"This is also in line with Indonesia's low-carbon strategy and long-term climate resilience. Towards 2050 and our commitment to achieving net zero by 2060," he said in a press release today, Monday, July 17.

The Minister of Finance revealed that Indonesia also continues to increase cooperation with all other stakeholders such as the Green Climate Fund, Global Environmental Facility and Adaptation Fund.

"This cooperation must be translated into an effective and credible action. Related to this, I make sure that Indonesia will continue to take on the role," said the Minister of Finance.

The Indonesian treasurer hopes that this discussion can be a good forum to find a joint solution related to the green transition.

"Because this can create a prosperous society while preserving the world," he concluded.
