BMKG: Cyclone 95W Seeds Potentially Affect Indonesian Region Weather
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that the seeds of tropical cyclone 95W detected in the Philippines could potentially affect the weather in several parts of Indonesia in the next few days.
BMKG Deputy for Meteorology Guswanto said the 95W tropical cyclone seeds were precisely on the east coast of Luzon Sea, Philippines, around 18.2 North Latitude (LU) and 122.3 East Longitude (BT).
The maximum wind speed of 95W cyclone seeds is 30 knots and the minimum air pressure is 1000 millibar (mb) moving to the west.
"The potential of the system to grow into tropical cyclones in the next 24 hours is in the high category," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 14.
Guswanto stated the impact of the 95W cyclone seeds on the weather in several parts of Indonesia, namely moderate to heavy rain in the Riau Islands (Kepri) and North Kalimantan (Kaltara).
