LSI Starting With 3 Presidential Election Pairs: The Leading Ganjar-Erick Duet

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Survey Institute released the results of a survey related to the map of the 2024 presidential election competition. In the simulation of the three names of the presidential and vice presidential pairs, the pairs Ganjar Pranowo and Erick Thohir were in first place.

The pair Ganjar-Erick managed to excel from the Prabowo Subianto-Muhaimin Iskandar and Anies Baswedan-Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

Ganjar-Erick Thohir 34 percent is ahead of Prabowo-Muhaimin 30.7 percent, while Anies-Khofifah is 21 percent. Around 14.2 percent have not shown their choice," quoted LSI's official release on Tuesday, July 11.

It is known that Ganjar and Erick's electability trend continues to increase. In this survey, Ganjar's electability as a presidential candidate was 32.2 percent. Low loss to Prabowo.

Meanwhile, Erick as a presidential candidate is always in the first position in various simulations. Erick managed to excel from Ridwan Kami, Sandiaga, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, to Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

The LSI national survey was held on July 1-8, 2023. The population of this survey is an Indonesian citizen aged 17 years and over or married and has a telephone / cell phone, about 83% of the total national population.

Then, the selection of samples is carried out through the random digit dialing (RDD) method. RDD is a technique of randomly selecting samples through the process of generating telephone numbers.

With the RDD sample technique, 1242 respondents were selected through the process of random phone number generation, validation, and screening.

The survey margin of error is estimated to be close to 2.8% at the 95% confidence level, a simple random sampling assumption.

Interviews with respondents were conducted by telephone by interviewers who were trained.
