Production Capacity Increases 5 Times, Pure Blue Surya Acetylene Claims Efficiency Up To 60 Percent
industrial gas producer issuer PT Surya Biru Murni Acetylene Tbk (SBMA) inaugurated the addition of a water separation plant (ASP) unit at its factory located on Jalan Mulawarman, Balikpapan.
This factory has increased gas production by five times. The factory development project with a water separation plant (ASP) unit absorbs a total investment of IDR 39 billion, of which IDR 18 billion comes from IPO funds.
PT SBMA Operations Director Iwan Sanyoto said, with the new equipment, this factory is targeted to increase oxygen and nitrogen production by up to 5 times after the post-commercial start-up Air Separation Plant (ASP), since last June 7. This means that it contributes to an increase in capacity of up to 50 tons per day or five times from the previous production.
Until now, the company coded SBMA issuer produces acetilin, argon, CO2, nitrogen, and oxygen. Special for nitrogen and oxygen as the latest addition.
The company will focus on increasing production of nitrogen and oxygen products so that they are in line with market demand that continues to increase.
"Because there is more market potential, we see the potential for increased demand for our nitrogen and oxygen products. Production capacity and efficiency increase are important factors in meeting this demand. We are proud to have achieved this achievement and hope to expand production capacity to meet our customers' increasing needs," he said in an official statement received on Monday July.
Iwan revealed that this excess production is expected to be able to anticipate increased demand from various industrial sectors, including mining, petrochemicals, and oil and gas, which often require oxygen and acetylene.
"The most encouraging thing for investors is that this factory operates with an efficiency of about 60 percent higher than the previous factory, thus providing us with a (large) profit margin," he said.
The nitrogen and oxygen-producing plant will be the focus of SBMA's massive sales this year and next year.

"We are very optimistic because the market still has great potential," he said.
In addition, the market potential is in IKN. He believes that IKN development will contribute to the company's revenue.
Regarding the possibility of expanding the market to the State Capital (IKN) region, Iwan explained that of course IKN has a fairly high gas demand. Therefore, SBMA can provide gas products there, including as one of the main suppliers for construction projects at Pertamina refineries.
"IKN is clear, they also automatically need a lot of gas and we are one of the main suppliers for the project at the refinery. Later we will use nitrogen products to clean the pipe before it is filled with oil, oil is flammable, it must be washed first, we can prepare the product," he concluded.
