KPK Searches The House Of Former Head Of Makassar Customs Andhi Pramono In Batam For 2.5 Hours

The Corruption Eradication Commission searched the house which allegedly belonged to the former Head of Makassar Customs and Excise, South Sulawesi, Andhi Pramono, in Batam City, Riau Islands, for about 2.5 hours.

KPK investigators started a house search at Grand Summit Housing at around 12.30 WIB and finished at around 15.00 WIB.

After searching, KPK investigators took two black and white suitcases from the luxury house.

The search was escorted by two police officers in complete uniform with long-barreled weapons.

Previously, the KPK said its team searched the luxury house belonging to the suspect suspected of receiving gratuities from the former Head of the Makassar Customs and Excise Office, South Sulawesi, Andhi Pramono, located in Batam. "Today, the KPK Investigation Team conducted a search in the Batam City area to collect evidence. The location in question is the house allegedly belonging to the party who was named a suspect in this case," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri.

Ali explained that the luxury house was located in a luxury housing complex in the Sekupang Batam area.

However, Ali has not been able to explain what the investigation team met because the search process is still ongoing.

"Activities are currently underway and we will report the 'update' immediately," he said.

The KPK on May 15, 2023, announced the start of an investigation into the alleged receipt of gratuities by one of the officials at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance.
