Regarding Ganjar Pranowo's Vice Presidential Candidate In The 2024 Presidential Election, PDIP-PP Has Not Agreed
The PDI-P (PDIP) and the United Development Party (PPP) have not discussed the candidate for vice president (cawapres) accompanying Ganjar Pranowo today, Monday, May 29.
PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani said discussions could still be done at another time.
"For PDIP, there are a lot of vice presidential names. There are ten names but it's still a long time. So we'll see first who fits it," Puan told reporters at the PPP DPP Office, Diponegoro Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Puan said, there were several considerations to choose Ganjar's companion. In addition to being able to add to the electoral effect, this figure must also be accepted by the community.
"So we will discuss it again so that it can be discussed together by the General Chairperson (General Chairperson of PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri) and the General Chairperson of PPP," he said.
"However, in the future discussion, all of this will provide good input. Who can later become a harmonious partner, can work together," continued the chairman of the DPR RI.

Meanwhile, Plt Chairman of PPP Mardiono said each party supporting Ganjar certainly wanted his cadres to be companions. However, he did not want to force it because he knew the final decision would be discussed further.
This decision cannot be forced because every party certainly wants the right person to accompany Ganjar in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. "Every political party wants the best cadres from within (to become Ganjar's partner, ed)," he said.
"Of course it will be a common thought but later the decision will be the first domain by Megawati and then together with PPP will be formulated who is really suitable to accompany Pak Ganjar," said Mardiono.
Previously, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri had admitted that she had pocketed 10 candidates for vice president to accompany Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election.
Later, PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani also leaked a number of names that were included in the vice presidential market. Among them are the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno to the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque Nasaruddin Umar.
