COVID-19 Update As Of May 26: 594 New Cases, 13,659 Active Cases
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 16,167 specimens were examined with the results of 6594 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,805,503 people and active cases have dropped by 93 to 13,659 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Friday, May 26.
Today's recovered cases increased by 682 people, bringing the total to 6,630,118 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 5 cases and a total of 161,726 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 137 cases and a total of 1,250,572 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta 123 new cases with a total of 1,566,624 cases. East Java 79 new cases and a total of 647,489 cases. Central Java 68 new cases and a total of 661,859 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 191 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 111 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 78 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 40 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,914,846.
"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 8.51 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 1,341 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 203,843,732 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,890,654 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 68,842,916 and the fourth dose was 3,180,746. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
