Jadi Program Strategis Jokowi, DPRD DKI Langsung Setuju Anggaran LRT Velodrome-Manggarai Ditambah Rp1,5 Triliun
JAKARTA - Member of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD S. Andyka said that his party approved the proposed additional budget of IDR 1.5 trillion for the construction of the 1B phase of the Jakarta LRT for the Velodrome-Manggarai route this year.
According to Andyka, the addition of the budget is reasonable to add to the acceleration of LRT construction work starting this year. Given, the Jakarta LRT route Velodrome-Manggarai is included in one of the national strategic programs (PSN) of President Joko Widodo's administration.
"So, indeed (the total) LRT budget is approximately Rp. 4.4 trillion and this is included in the central program, a national strategic project that is outlined in regional strategic activities. Actually, it must be completed in 2024," Andyka told reporters, Wednesday, May 10.
Moreover, Andyka views that the work on the continuation of the Jakarta LRT is faster to complete because currently the route that is operating is only limited to Pegangsaan Dua-Velodrome with 6 stations.
"If the regional capacity is felt to be sufficient to complete it in 2024, this is indeed necessary. According to our observations, the losses will continue to increase if not resolved," said Andyka.
This additional budget is proposed to be included in the regional capital participation (PMD) to PT Jakarta Propertindo in the 2023 APBD changes. If approved, later there will be a budget allocation for other programs that will be shifted to increase the LRT capital.
"We are asked to increase PMD for PT LRT by Rp1.5 trillion," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) Michael Rolandi Cesnanta Brata at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Tuesday, May 9.

"Later, in 2024 we will add more (PMD for the construction of the Jakarta LRT). So, a total of IDR 4.5 trillion," he said.
It is planned that the 1B phase of the Jakarta LRT has 5 stations with a length of 6.4 kilometers, namely Youth Station, BPKP Station, Pramuka Market Station, Matraman Station, and Manggarai Station.
So far, as many as 6 LRT stations have operated with a length of 5.2 kilometers in phase 1. So, if the 1B phase has been built, the Jakarta LRT has a route length of 12.2 kilometers with 11 stations ranging from Pegangsaan Dua Station to Manggarai Station.
In continuing the construction of the LRT Jakarta route Velodrome-Manggarai, the DKI Provincial Government provided regional capital participation (PMD) of IDR 916 billion sourced from the APBD for the 2023 fiscal year.
If not delayed, the construction work on the light train with the Velodrome-Manggarai route is planned to start in August this year. It is targeted that the Jakarta LRT with the Velodrome-Manggarai route can operate in a limited way by 2024.
When fully operational, the Jakarta LRT is targeted to carry 185 thousand passengers per day. However, based on the results of a feasibility study or feasibility study, the estimated passengers of the Jakarta LRT are around 80 thousand to 100 thousand passengers per day.
