The Man Who Killed His Wife During Takbiran Night Arrested In Subang, The Motive Is Jealousy
JAKARTA - A man with the initials SF who is suspected of killing his own wife, Rani Andini, in Kiaracondong, Bandung City, on the night of takbiran, was finally arrested by the police in Subang, West Java.
Bandung Police Chief Kombes Budi Sarton announced that his party immediately formed a joint team consisting of the Kiaracondong Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Bandung Police Satreskrim after the police found out that Rani's murder was an SF through investigation.
"The police had chased the perpetrator to Garut, his family's house. However, no whereabouts were found. The police also received information that the perpetrator had fled to the Subang area. The team immediately gave chase. Thank God, the perpetrator was arrested in Subang on April 27, 2023," Budi said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 28.
Budi explained that victim Rani Andini died a few hours before Eid prayers in her rented room, Jalan Kebonjayanti, Kiaracondong, Bandung City, on April 22, 2023 in the morning.
Rani died on her back with her hand a cut and her chest covered in blood. On the young woman's chest, there were 20 cm deep wounds as a result of the stab of an SF's sword which was none other than the victim's husband.

Budi Sartono said that from the results of the preliminary examination, it was found that the motive for the perpetrators to kill the victim was due to jealousy.
Initially, on April 22, 2023 at around 01.00 WIB, the victim asked the perpetrator to take him to meet two of his friends who were men near their rented house.
"After delivering the victim, the perpetrator returned to his rented house," said Budi.
After 1 hour, the perpetrator contacted the victim to ask him to go home. However, the victim did not heed the request. The victim just returned home at around 04.00 WIB.
Arriving at the victim's rented house, he and the perpetrator were involved in an argument. The feud ended with the perpetrator hitting the victim with an empty sirop bottle, then taking a sword and stabbing it into the victim's left chest. After that, the perpetrator stabbed twice at the victim's left arm.
As a result, the victim suffered two stabs in his left hand and one stab wound to his left chest near his armpit.
"After that the perpetrator, immediately fled," he said.
In this case, the police apply Article 338 in conjunction with Article 351 and the PKDRT Law with a penalty of 15 years in prison.
