Social Minister Risma Comes To Sampang, Visiting A Girl With Brain Tumor

JAKARTA - The Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) of the Republic of Indonesia Tri Rismaharini visited the residence of Anisyatul Jannah, a girl with a brain tumor in Montor Village, Sampang Regency, East Java, Sunday, April 9.

Risma arrived in Sampang and was greeted directly by Anis' parents, Junik and Nur Hayati. Nur Hayati explained to the Minister of Social Affairs that her 12-year-old child had been suffering from a brain tumor since birth.

"I have asked the child's parents to be treated at the hospital so they can receive treatment from a doctor," said the Minister of Social Affairs, quoted from Antara, Sunday, April 9.

The third child of husband and wife pair Junik and Nur Hayati experienced impaired motor and cognitive abilities when she was three months old.

Previously, the Sampang Regency Government had asked Anisyatul Jannah's parents to take the child to Sampang Hospital, but refused.

During the meeting, Anisyah's family finally received the direction of the Minister of Social Affairs Risma Triharini, and will be treated at Dr. Mohammad Zyn Sampang Hospital.

On that occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also handed over social rehabilitation assistance (Atensi) to Anisyatul Jannah's family, in the form of IDR 9 million, a number of basic needs, nutrition, health aids, and daily equipment.
