Not Piling Up, Stock Of Subsidized Fertilizer In The Sergau Warehouse To Fulfill The Allocation In The Next 3 Weeks

JAKARTA - As a state-owned company that has the mandate to produce and distribute subsidized fertilizers, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) must provide subsidized fertilizer stocks in line III warehouses or at the district level in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Trade (Permendag) Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Procurement and Distribution of Subsidized Fertilizers for the Agricultural Sector.

In this regulation, the stock of subsidized fertilizer prepared by Pupuk Indonesia must meet the needs of farmers for the next two to three weeks.

"The subsidized fertilizer stock available and seen piled up in the warehouses of Sergai Regency, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) in order to fulfill Permendag Number 4 of 2023. The stock of this subsidized fertilizer will then be distributed to farmers who are entitled to the allocation of fertilizer subsidies according to Government regulations," said VP of Regional Sales (PW) 1 Pupuk Indonesia, Wawan Arjuna, in his statement, Wednesday, July 19.

Wawan revealed that Pupuk Indonesia provides a stock of subsidized fertilizers in North Sumatra of 41,935 tons as of July 17, 2023. The total stock of subsidized fertilizers consists of urea fertilizers of 24,557 tons and NPK of 15,340 tons.

All of this subsidy fertilizer is available in line III warehouses and will be distributed to the official Pupuk Indonesia kiosk and can be redeemed by the rightful farmers. The total stock of subsidized fertilizers in North Sumatra is equivalent to 365 percent of the minimum provisions set by the Government, or sufficient to meet the needs for the next two to three weeks. Based on Permentan Number 10 of 2022, the Government has set a criteria for farmers who are entitled to receive fertilizer subsidies allocation, namely that they must be joined in farmer groups, registered in SIMLUHTAN (Agricultural Extension Management Information System), working on a maximum land of two hectares, and using Farmer Cards (for certain areas). Farmers can only redeem subsidized fertilizers at official kiosks that have been determined to serve local farmer groups.

Selanjutnya, Permentan Nomor 10 Tahun 2022 juga menetapkan 9 (sembilan) komoditas yang mendapat alokasi subsidi pupuk yaitu padi, jagung, kedelai, bawang merah, bawang putih, cabai, kopi, tebu rakyat dan kakao. Dengan kata lain, petani yang menggarap di luar komoditas tersebut tidak lagi berhak mendapat alokasi pupuk bersubsidi.

Fertilizer stocks are prepared according to the provisions and will be distributed to eligible farmers according to e-allocation data. Pupuk Indonesia has distributed subsidized fertilizers in accordance with Permentan Number 10 of 2022 which stipulates two types of fertilizers, namely urea and NPK. That way other types of fertilizers no longer receive subsidized allocations from the Government," he said.
