JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) again tried the light rail or Light Rail Transit (LRT) Jabodebek from Harjamukti Station, Cibubur, Depok, West Java, Thursday, August 3. President Jokowi entered the LRT carriage at 08.15 WIB, accompanied by Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil, and Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono.Turut as well as on the trip were the influencers on social media (influence), one of which was Olga Lydia. On December 26, 2022, President Jokowi also tested the Jabodebek LRT, accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Panjaitan and Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi. The LRT journey that Jokowi was traveling on Thursday started from Harjamukti Station, then Ciracas Station, Rambutan Village, TMII, Cawang, and was planned to pass through Ciliwung Station, Cikoko, Pancoran, Kuningan, Rasuna Said, Setiabudi until it ended in Dukuh Atas. LRT is known to be an integrated mode of transportation whose train series was produced by BUMN PT INKA Persero, and its infrastructure was carried out by PT Adhi Karya Persero Tbk. (ADHI). Domestic component levels (TKDN) for LRT construction are more than 60 percent. Jabodebek LRT uses higher technology from MRT Jakarta or South Sumatra LRT, namely 3rd generation or Grade of Automation (GoA) Level 3. With this technology, it allows for trains to be operated without a machinism and regulates inter-train distances to be closer to maintaining a constant distance.

Meanwhile, a series of tests have been carried out since 2022 and are getting more intensive in May 2023. It is planned that the Jabodebek LRT limited trial (trial operation) will be carried out from July 12 to August 2023 and is targeted to be operational commercially on August 18, 2023.
