Megawati Instructs PDIP Cadres To Go Down To Grass Roots

JAKARTA - General Chairperson (Katum) of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri ordered her cadres to continue to come down to serve the people.

This was conveyed by Megawati when giving directions at the Internal Consolidation Meeting which was held in the hall of the Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Wednesday, August 2.

"The first task for you is to serve grassroots, who is the grassroots? The people. Go down," Megawati said in a press statement, Wednesday, August 2.

He also reminded that ahead of the 2024 General Election, PDIP would strengthen discipline towards Party cadres. All cadres must obey Party regulations and should not disappoint the people.

The PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto also conveyed the same thing that there must be strengthening political cooperation with political parties supporting Ganjar Pranowo, such as PPP, Hanura and Perindo.

"The strengthening must be carried out concretely for the sake of victory together in the legislative and presidential elections in 2024," said Hasto.

In this activity, there were also a number of party DPP chairmen, including Eriko Sutarduga, Rokhmin Dahriri, Ribka Tjiptaning, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Made Urip, Nusyirwan Soedjono, Wiryanti Sukamdani, Hamka Haq, and Mindo Sianipar.

Appearing to be present at the consolidation meeting included the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution, the Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and the Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi.

Previously, on Wednesday, August 2, the presidential candidate from PDIP Ganjar Pranowo also received a message from PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to prosper the people.

Megawati also gave an explanation when occupying a position, the basis of that ideology should not be shifted.
