The Assembled Weapon That Killed Bripda IDF Examined At Puslabfor

The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) stated that evidence of homemade firearms in the shooting case that killed Police Brigadier Dua Ignatius Dwi Frisco Sirage or Bripda IDF (20) is currently being investigated at the National Police Headquarters Forensic Laboratory Center.

"Because from there, if there is a series number, it will be tracked down later, which product and so on. We have to wait, we are currently in the process," said Daily Chairman of Kompolnas Benny Josua Mamoto as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 1.

According to Benny, Kompolnas has not been able to provide a response regarding the existence of the homemade firearms at the Police Flats, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, where the IDF Bripda died because the examination of the weapons was still in progress.

"This is still a process, we can't answer yet because later it will be from Puslabfor who will conduct the examination and the results will be submitted to investigators," he said.

Benny said that currently Kompolnas is making recommendations for the National Police regarding the misuse of firearms by unscrupulous members of the National Police.

Prior to the shooting of Bripda IDF, continued Benny, Kompolnas was conducting research on the misuse of firearms by members of the National Police by going directly to the Regional Police.

"From the various cases that occurred, we had grouped them when they kept rifles, there were weaknesses. Then when he was carrying a firearm and then there was a weakness when they used guns," said Benny.

Bripda IDF was shot dead due to the negligence of his co-workers when showing illegal homemade firearms at the Police Flat, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Sunday (23/7).

In this case, two members of the National Police from the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror have been named as suspects, namely Bripda IMS and Bripka IG. Both were declared to have violated the code of ethics of the category of serious violations and the criminal act of Article 338 of the Criminal Code.

Tersangka Bripda IMS dijerat Pasal 338 atau Pasal 359 KUHP dan atau Undang-Undang Nomor 12 Tahun 1951, sedangkan tersangka Bripka IG dikenakan Pasal 338 juncto Pasal 56 dan atau Pasal 359 KUHP juncto Pasal 56 KUHP dan atau Undang-Undang Darurat Nomor 12 Tahun 1951.

The two suspects are threatened with the death penalty or life imprisonment or a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
