2-fold Increase From Last Year, JakCard Records 5.1 Million Transactions During June 2023

JAKARTA - Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Bank DKI noted that the use of JakCard's electronic money card (KUE) during June 2023 reached 5.1 million transactions or an increase of up to two times.

"Bank DKI continues to record growth in the use of JakCard, where in June 2022 there were 2.5 million transactions recorded, and as of June 2023 the total transactions used by JakCard were recorded at 5.1 million transactions or grew 104.86% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis," said Fidri in his statement, Sunday, July 30.

Currently, JakCard can be used as payment for various entrance tickets such as Ragunan Wildlife Park, National Monument, Ancol Dreamland Park, and various museums managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

JakCard can also be used as a means of payment for toll roads such as Jagorawi, JORR, Bogor Outer Ring Road, urban toll roads to the Bali-Mandara toll road. For transportation ticket needs, JakCard can be used for Transjakarta tickets, Microtrans, MRT, Jakarta LRT, and Jabedebek LRT.

Most recently, JakCard can be used as payment for KRL tickets in Jabodetabek. Fidri explained that JakCard's acceptance of KRL travel tickets is part of Bank DKI's efforts to strengthen the Electronic Money Card segment. Also, provide a non-cash transaction option for the community.

"Bank DKI is optimistic that electronic money transactions will increase as part of people's preferences in transactions easily, safely and comfortably," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Operations and Marketing of PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia, Broer Rizal, hopes that the implementation of JakCard can provide convenience and options for ticket payment transactions for people who will use the Jabodetabek Commuter Line.

Given, the number of Commuter Line Jabodetabek ticket payment transactions using a tap card (multi trip card and bank electronic money) is 95 percent of the total transactions. Meanwhile, transactions using a QR Code are 5 percent.

The volume of Jabodetabek Commuter Line users from July 2023 to July 25 reached 19,370,263 people. Meanwhile, the average user on weekdays is 857,968 people per day and the average is 626,974 people on holidays and weekends per day.
