Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jambi Police, Iptu Yudha Rengga, said the threatening incident occurred on Jalan Lingkar Selatan, Jambi City. The perpetrator has the initials MK (39), a resident of Mayang Mangurai, Jambi City.

The incident began when the ATJ Task Force officers were controlling coal transport drivers about operating hours that had not been allowed. Suddenly the perpetrator did not accept it and threatened to use a sharp machete.
