JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta focuses on repairing two roads around the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) ahead of the U-17 World Cup which will run later this year.

"So what will be done by the Bina Marga Office in 2023 will increase the concrete road, sidewalks and PJU lights (public street lighting)," said Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Highways Agency Heru Suwondo as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 26.

The concrete roads, sidewalks, and PJU lights that will be improved are Jalan Danau Sunter Barat and Jalan Sunter Permai Raya.

Previously, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, said that currently the ranks of the Highways Office are coordinating with PT Jasa Marga Properti (JMP).

"If the renovation is related to those from the regional government, the Bina Marga Office is already running, it's almost finished. Stay with JMP to connect to the toll road," said Heru.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) will also add pedestrian bridges (JPO) on Jalan RE Martadinata and Kali Ancol.

Heru hopes that JIS can be used to hold various events so as to provide income for managers.

"Improvements and infrastructure in the stadium area need to be carried out so that the stadium can be suitable for use as a place for various events," said Heru.
