Observing the weather conditions in Riau which are quite hot and dry, BPBD urges the public not to clear land by burning.
BPBD also appealed not to carelessly throw cigarette butts that were still burning, especially when in gardens, vacant land, or forests.
"Those who like to lure fish should also not leave the Code or fire to burn the fish because it can trigger a fire, therefore make sure the fire is extinguished and after that they can only leave the location," he said.
