Regent Rudy Gunawan Is Furious, Threatening ASN In Undisciplined Garut His Position Will Be Lowered

Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan stated that state civil servants (ASN) within the Garut Regency Government, West Java, who are not disciplined in carrying out their duties to participate in government activities were lowered from their positions as punishment for their performance. "It must be punished, the punishment has been demoted," said Rudy Gunawan when asked for a response by reporters regarding the lack of discipline in participating in government activities in Garut, reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 4. He said that he was aware of reports from the Deputy Regent of Garut Helmi Budiman regarding the presence of ASNs that were not disciplined while carrying out routine tasks of ceremonial activities at the Regional Secretariat of the Garut Regency Government, last Monday. Since his leadership with the Deputy Regent of Garut, he has tried to improve the quality of ASN discipline in order to maximize services to the public. "So the level of discipline and the level of attitude of the Garut Regional Government's staffing is very low," he said. He revealed that his leadership with Helmi Budiman will end at the end of 2023, which during his two terms always discusses ASN discipline. The Regent emphasized that there are still many problems in Garut Regency, including the handling of poverty that must be overcome and served by all government employees in this area. "Poverty is still there, we have to be honest, there are many in those areas, we often go to the regions, if we often go to our regions we can't be arrogant, that we succeed, indeed we have tried to get in that direction (draining poverty)," said the Regent. Previously, Garut Deputy Regent Helmi Budiman had expressed his disappointment regarding ASN who were not disciplined in attending routine apples every Monday. Apples that were held on Monday (3/7), according to Helmi, many were not present, most of those present also came late.

With this problem, Helmi immediately instructed the Garut Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) to deal with ASN problems that are not disciplined within the local district government.
