"Both of them are on the deterrence list," said Head of the Bali Immigration Office Ngurah Rai Sugito in Denpasar as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 9.
The two foreigners from the bamboo curtain country had the initials SY and XZ who had no connection.
SY, he said, was arrested in the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport area and immediately detained at the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) on June 6, 2023.
Meanwhile, XZ was arrested in the Kuta area, Badung Regency and detained at the Denpasar Rudenim on May 31, 2023.
Sugito said SY arrived in Indonesia via Soekarno Hatta Airport on December 19, 2022 using the Visa on Arrival (VoA) facility or a visit visa upon arrival.
The 38-year-old man's residence permit ended on January 17, 2023, exceeding the stay period of more than 60 days.
