JAKARTA - The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is one of 14 ministries/agencies that receive assets of former Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) from the Ministry of Finance.

Plt. Secretary General of the Ministry of ATR/BPN Suyus Windayana said the Ministry of ATR/BPN received assets in the form of land covering an area of 2.19 hectares that had been determined through the Determination of Usage Status (PSP). These assets will be managed to improve the quality of services to the public.

"We use several (assets received) in Medan for offices, additional BPN Regional Offices. Then, offices, archives, Agrarian Reform Laboratory, and several other places will be built in Riau Islands," said Suyus in a written statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 7.

Suyus said that the Ministry of ATR/BPN took part in efforts to secure assets carried out together with the BLBI Fund State Collection Rights Task Force.

There are 42 plots of land covering an area of 2,268,142 meters and a building of 15,084 meters worth Rp1.85 trillion. The Ministry of ATR/BPN carried out checks in the field, which was then transferred.

"Then we will extend the renewal when the land has already run out. So, we will give everything related to the land assets to the BLBI Task Force, then check if it needs to be blocked, we will block it. Because this asset is blocked so it cannot be transacted further," said Suyus.
