PekanBARU - Pemerintah berupaya memperbaiki sebanyak 10 ruas jalan provinsi di Riau melalui Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) pada tahun 2023 sesuai Inpres Nomor 3 Tahun 2023 tentang Percepatan Peningkatan Konektivitas Jalan Daerah.

"A total of 10 provincial roads will be handled by the government according to the proposal of the Riau Provincial Government, and among them are four roads that have met the readings criteria or roads that are correct, complete, and ready to be worked on," said Head of the Riau Province PUPR-PKPP Office, M Arief Setiawan, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 25.

He said that six more roads from regencies/cities in Riau Province had been submitted by the National Road Hall in Riau during a meeting with the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) at the Riau Governor's Office.

Arief said the four provincial roads in Riau that were handled by the center this year were the first Jalan Teluk Puluhi (Kubu)-Peipahan (North Sumatra limit), Rokan Hilir Regency for 3.4 km. Second, Jalan Simpang Bunut-Teluk Meranti, Pelalawan Regency 5.5 km.

Then, Jalan Folding Kain-Lubuk Agung-Batu Sasak, Kampar Regency 5 km, Jalan Simpang Batang-Lubuk Gaung, Dumai City 4.5 km.

"In 2023 there will be four provincial roads in Riau that will be handled by the central government through the Ministry of PUPR along 18.4 kilometers," said Arief.

Arief Setiawan said that the repair of the four provincial roads assisted by the central government during a meeting with the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) had been asked to immediately process the auction, so that the work could be carried out quickly.

"We are grateful to be able to meet the criteria set by the ministry to get the assistance, because the proposed road repair must meet the criteria and technical requirements set," said Arief.

Previously, KSP Main Expert Helson Siagian said the government had also prepared a budget of IDR 32.7 trillion in stages in the 2023-2024 fiscal year to handle road repairs in various regions.
