Depok City Government, West Java continues to try to solve the problem of congestion on Jalan Raya Sawangan. The city government continues to communicate with the central government so that the widening of Jalan Raya Sawangan can be realized. "The problem of congestion on Jalan Raya Sawangan is that we try to communicate with the Central Government so that it is widened. Because the status of the road is the central authority," said Deputy Mayor of Depok Imam Budi Hartono in Depok, Antara, Friday, May 5. According to Imam Budi Hartono, widening Jalan Raya Sawangan is one solution to overcome severe congestion. Even when the Depok – Antasari toll gate was opened, there was an MoU or an agreement with the developer to widen Jalan Raya Sawangan. "There is an obligation to widen the road to the right until Parung is confused and left until Mampang. We continue to collect it, it has not been realized and has been heard by BPTJ and toll road developers because of their promise to widen the road," he said. He invited residents to avoid Jalan Raya Sawangan and look for alternative routes. Imam also invited Depok residents to reduce the use of private vehicles such as cars and motorbikes. "Perlaku dari kita pengguna jalan. Tidak menggunakan mobil pribadi. Kita lebih banyak menggunakan kendaraan umum dan bisa mengendalikan peningkatan ekonomi," ujarnya. He explained that the Depok City Government would provide proper public transportation such as public transportation with air conditioning.

"Alhamdulillah, we have started providing public transportation with air conditioning and will be added," said Imam.
