Expert Staff Of The Coordinating Ministry For Political, Legal And Security Affairs: Ahead Of The Political Year Indonesia's Condition Is Conducive

JAKARTA - Political and security conditions in the country are believed to be conducive ahead of the 2024 General Election. The Expert Staff of the ideology and Constitution of the Ministry of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Inspector General Andry Wibowo said that the community considers the political year to be a five-year agenda that is common.

"People are used to facing elections," said Andry, quoted on Wednesday, May 3.

The potential for security disturbances such as identity politics and polarization is still a challenge in the future. However, Andry assessed that the current community is more concerned with the availability of foodstuffs to stable economic conditions to meet their needs.

"For the people, the availability of basic commodities for daily life is even more important," he said.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD guaranteed that the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Elections was held in accordance with the agreed schedule.

"As Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, I guarantee that elections must be held on February 14 and November 2024 for the Pilkada," said Mahfud during a visit to the Nurul Jadid Paiton Islamic Boarding School in Probolinggo Regency, East Java, Saturday, April 22.

Not only that, Mahfud also mentioned that the government is ready to work together and facilitate the democratic party. So, the 2024 election stage can be carried out according to schedule and every existing obstacle can be anticipated.
