Don't Be Embarrassed! TNI Members Kick Mother's Motorbike In Bekasi Must Be Sanctioned

JAKARTA - Member of Commission I DPR RI, Sturman Panjaitan, asked the leadership of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) to impose sanctions on members of the TNI who kicked a motorcycle driven by a mother and a small child in Bekasi, West Java.

"There must be sanctions given to the perpetrators and this incident is enough as a lesson for all TNI soldiers wherever they are. Don't be ashamed, let alone endanger the safety of the people," said Sturman, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 25.

According to him, actions that can hurt people's hearts, especially endanger safety, are very inappropriate for a TNI soldier who should always be close to the people and ready to provide protection.

"The TNI must always be close to the people, not just because of the sudden brake problem and then reply with actions that endanger safety. This is not very good, where is the protection spirit?" he said.

Sturman also admitted that he was furious at the rude actions of TNI members who were caught on camera by residents' cellphones and then went viral on social media.

He asked the perpetrators to dare to admit their mistakes and apologize for the actions they had taken.

"Show your responsibility by daring to admit that you were wrong and apologize to the mother," he said.

In a viral video circulating on social media, it appears that a member of the TNI who was riding a motorcycle kicked a motorcycle driven by a mother while riding a small child in Bekasi, West Java, Monday afternoon, causing him to almost fall.

The Indonesian Air Force's Quick Action Force Command (Kopasgat) through the Commander of the 471 Air Defense Detachment (Denhanud) Pasgat Lt. Col. Pas Bagus Teaching Pamungkas, Tuesday, apologized to the mother of a motorcyclist named Sri Dewi Kemuning who had an incident by members of Denhanud 471 Indonesian Air Force Kopasgat Praka Arya Nobel Gideon (ANG) in Bekasi, West Java.

"I apologize profusely for the treatment of my members who made mistakes. Hopefully this will be a lesson for him," said Lt. Col. Bagus Teaching in a video uploaded on the official TNI AU @military.air account.

Praka Arya Nobel Gideon, who also visited the victim's residence, then apologized directly to the mother who was the victim of her harsh actions and also her family.

"On behalf of Praka Arya Nobel Gideon, I admit that I did what I did yesterday which harmed my father and family. I apologize profusely," said Praka Arya.
