About To Be Deported, Three Uzbekistann Citizens Attack Jakut Immigration Officers And Intend To Escape

Three foreign nationals from Uzbekistan attacked five officers from the North Jakarta Immigration Center Class I Immigration Office (TPI) with a kitchen knife while trying to escape from the detention room.

Spokesperson for the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police Kombes Pol Aswin Siregar at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, confirmed the incident.

It was also explained that four Uzbekistann foreigners were suspects in the alleged terrorism case arrested on March 24, 2023 for allegedly spreading propaganda related to terrorism.

According to Aswin, they were entrusted to the immigration office in order to wait for the deportation process to return to their home country.

On April 10, 2023 at around 04.00 WIB, he said, three of the four foreigners in the detention room carried out attacks on immigration officers and members of the Densus who served in the office.

The attack was carried out by three Uzbekistanns while trying to escape or attack, then fleeing.

A total of five officers were victims, one of whom died. The five victims consisted of three North Jakarta Immigration officers, namely Adi Widodo (died), Dicky Visto Damas suffered serious injuries, and Supriatna suffered minor injuries.

Two members of the Densus who were also victims, Bripda Dendry and Bripda Bahrain, both suffered serious injuries.

The four Uzbekistann foreigners are Bekhzod Anorbek Ugli Baytoev (BAB), Olimjon Mukhtor Ugli Makhmudov (OMM), Muradjon Ibrokhimjon Ugli Rakimov (MIR), and Bakhromjon KabilDjanovich Azizov (BKA).

"Three of them fled, and the other was still or didn't want to run (the initials of BKA)," said Aswin.

The three foreigners came out of the detention room by breaking into the roof of the ceiling of the immigration office, then attacking officers who were eating suhoor, some of the officers were even preparing for the Fajr prayer.

"The perpetrator paralyzed or attacked members using a kitchen knife obtained in the panel," said Aswin.

In less than 24 hours, the National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 officers managed to arrest the perpetrators of the attack who fled at 10.50 WIB. The suspect OMM was first arrested at a shop near the Bukit Gading Indah complex.

At 20.30 WIB, the suspect MIR was arrested in a culvert, Sunter River area, while the suspect defecation was found at 14:40 WIB in a state of death in Sunter River.

"He died because he jumped into the river, then drowned. His body has been taken to the Kramat Jati Hospital for an autopsy," said Aswin.
