TANGERANG The Tangerang Metro Police have arrested a perpetrator of sexual harassment in public transportation (Angkot) in the Tangerang City area. The perpetrator with the initials RJ had gone viral on social media harassing a junior high school student.
Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Zain Dwi Nugroho said the harassment incident occurred on Friday, March 31, during the day.
"The RJ alias O perpetrator was arrested after being arrested", said Zain in his statement, Wednesday, April 5.
Zain explained that based on the results of the examination, RJ turned out to have a mental disorder or a person in a mental disorder (ODGJ). This is known based on a medical fee letter issued by the Bhakti Daya Insani Mental Rehabilitation Foundation and a control plan letter issued from An Nisa Hospital in Tangerang.
"The examination was known to be ODGJ with the confirmation of a psychiatric doctor's certificate", he said.
The perpetrators have recently been handed over to the family for treatment.
