After Korea And Japan, The United States Delegation Will Visit The Nusantara IKN Project

Head of the Capital Archipelago Authority (IKN) Bambang Susantono revealed that representatives of the United States (US) will visit the IKN Nusantara project in Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan (Kaltim) in the near future.

This followed a meeting of the Japanese delegation and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol who expressed interest in building IKN some time ago.

"Two weeks ago Korea and Japan came, about a few weeks from America will also come. So if we look at the interest of big investors," said Bambang at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, April 3, which was confiscated by Antara.

Deputy Head of the IKN Authority, Dhony Rahajoe, admitted that he had just been informed about the planned visit of the US representative. Even so, he did not know further when the meeting would be realized.

"(Regarding the arrival of representatives) America, yesterday I was just informed, we'll just have to wait," said Dhony.

In addition, Dhony has also met with the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Rachmat Gobel, to conduct a market sound in Japan at the end of February. According to him, it didn't take long, there was a return visit by bringing more than 50 investors to IKN.

"That's concrete, we announce it, but it hasn't reached a shape yet," he said.

The joining of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is expected to be able to manage sustainable forests. This is because Japan's qualified experience is followed by technological advances.

Previously, the Ministry of PUPR instructed all infrastructure development activities in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago to meet the requirements for sustainable construction.

"I instruct all infrastructure development activities at IKN to meet the technical requirements of sustainable construction," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in a speech delivered by the Director General of Water Resources Jarot Widyoko at the Auditorium of the Ministry of PUPR Jakarta, Wednesday, March 29.

Basuki also added that IKN development must pay attention to the principles of lean construction (lean construction) and use building information modeling (BIM) so as to increase the effectiveness of utilization of resources and reduce construction waste.

Currently, the Ministry of PUPR has a big task to build IKN infrastructure.

"The IKN that we are currently building carries the concept of Smart Forest City by prioritizing principles that integrate with nature, applying smart technology, and encouraging the use of renewable energy," said Basuki.

According to him, IKN is expected to be a symbol of not only the progress of Indonesian civilization but also the Most Sustainable City in the World.
