Kunker To Central Kalimantan, TNI Commander Receives Dayak Customary Honorary Title

TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono received the Dayak Customary honorary title from the Central Kalimantan Customary Council (DAD) Management. The award was given in conjunction with Yudo's working visit in Central Kalimantan.

Chairman of the Central Kalimantan Dayak Customary Council Agustiar Sabran said Yudo was given the honorary title of the Mantir Dayak Tradition Hai Panambahan Antang Randan Karmbang Pulau Mandereh Danum, Hambalat Nusa Hampa Mantai Tambun, Tisan Nyarungi Paluru Barantai, Tisan Mandui Asep Sandawa Laut.

"This means that from the title, which means that the residents of the honor of the indigenous people of Dayak, a person who is brave, respected, wise, strategic experts, is able to maintain defense and security and integrity of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia," he said in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Thursday, March 30, was confiscated by Antara.

"The title given to the TNI Commander is of course the same as that given to national figures and state leaders such as the president, vice president, previous TNI commanders and so on who made working visits to Central Kalimantan," he continued.

He said that the awarding of the Dayak Customary honorary title was a form of respect and trust for the Central Kalimantan Dayak Indigenous people as moral support in carrying out the duties and functions of the TNI to uphold state sovereignty.

"Furthermore, to maintain the territorial integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in 1445 and protect the entire nation," he said.

Agustiar Sabran, who also serves as a member of the DPR RI for the electoral district (dapil) of Central Kalimantan, admitted that he hoped that the Dayak community, who had a career in the TNI, who now serves as an intermediate officer, could be considered, so that they could be promoted as generals.

"So that this is the pride of the Dayak people of Central Kalimantan, because there are those who have a career as high-ranking officers within the TNI," said the older brother of Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran when welcoming the arrival of the TNI Commander in the VVIP room of Tjilik Riwut Palangka Raya Airport.

He also hopes that Yudo's presence can provide opportunities or prioritize so that sons and daughters in Central Kalimantan can be prioritized in the acceptance of the TNI, including helping in empowering the preservation of local wisdom of the Dayak Indigenous people in Central Kalimantan.
