JAKARTA - Bassist of Manic Street Preachers, Nicky Wire released his new solo song entitled Contact Sheets.

This is a follow-up to his solo debut, I Killed The Zeitgeist, which fans have been waiting for.

"(The new song) is over," Nicky told NME in 2021.

"Whatever, I'll probably bury you in a stupid pool somewhere, I might burn it, I might keep it in Bandcamp. Very fragile. There are some very unusual modern jazz and some indie C-86 vibrations in it," said Nicky at the time.

"There were several eras of Miles Davis' 'Bitches Brew' there, some unclear trumpets, and some of the songs that sound like The Shop Assistants. It features Gav [Fitzjohn] on therumpet. Sean [Moore, drums andrumpet] refuse to play. He said his lips were missing.

Now, Nicky shared the first tasteer of his new material in Bandcamp through Contact Sheets, fulfilling his promise of a C-86-inspired runaway voice, with lyrics that are usually nostalgia and elegi.

Manics vocalist James Dean Bradfield previously revealed that Nicky had recorded a new LP while the vocalist was working on his previous solo album, Even In Exile.
