Before Appearing In Indonesia, Honda CR-V 2024 Greeted Australia's Market

JAKARTA - Honda, an automotive company from Japan, will officially bring the Honda CR-V 2024 to the Australian market by expressing specifications and prices.

After successfully achieving success in the markets of North America and Europe, Honda believes CR-V 2024 will also be well received in Australia and Asia.

For the Australian market, Honda provides two variants of the engine in the latest generation of CR-V, namely 1.5 liters of gasoline and 2.0 liters of Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV).

Total McMahon, Director of Honda Australia, stated that the presence of a hybrid version of CR-V in Australia provides more choice for customers and strengthens Honda's electric car line in the country.

"Powertrain hybrid e:HeV Honda has become increasingly popular in Accord, Civic, Honda ZR-V, and HR-V, providing a combination of dynamic performance and efficiency," McMahon said as quoted by Carscoops, Tuesday, August 1.

The initial variant of Honda CR-V 2024 is equipped with a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, which produces up to 190 dk of power and 243 Nm of torque. This variant is available with a two-wheeled driving system (2WD) and all wheels (AWD).

Meanwhile, for the hybrid variant, the Honda CR-V eHEV RS has a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine in collaboration with two electric motors, generating up to 204 dk of power and 335 Nm of torque.

The price of the sixth generation Honda CR-V starts at USD 44,500 or around IDR 445.1 million for the VTi X trim and USD 48,800 for the Aautralia or approximately IDR 487.7 million for the VTi L trim.

For the AWD variant, the Honda CR-V 2024 is sold at prices ranging from 51,300 to 57,000 Australian dollars or around Rp512.7 million to Rp569.7 million.

Meanwhile, for the CR-V e-HEV RS, it is sold at prices ranging from 59,900 US dollars or around Rp599 million.

Honda CR-V 2024 will make its debut in Indonesia through the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023. This Japanese manufacturer will showcase the SUV at ICE BSD, Tangerang, through PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM).

The development of news about the emergence of CR-V attracted more attention when the latest unit from Honda was seen arriving at the port of Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, recently.

In the Instagram account post @indra_fathan, it can be seen that the SUV covered in cloth is in a transport truck in Tanjung Priok. The car is believed to be the latest generation Honda CR-V.
