"The unique relationship between this car and Max Hoffman, as well as John and Total von Neumann, makes it an extraordinary example to document and preserve Porsche's story at the Library of Congress so that it can be learned by future generations," said Casey Maxon, senior manager of heritage of the Hagerty Drivers Foundation.
The announcement of the placement of the Porsche America Roadster in the National Historical Vehicle Register was held on June 10 at the Porsche Broad Arrow Group celebration commemorating its 75th anniversary at the Porsvhe Experience Center in Atlanta.
This celebration is also an opportunity to honor the previous owner, Robert Ingram, who bought this car in 2009. This car has undergone restoration by Road Scholars led by Ingram's son, Cam Ingram, in 2018.
