JAKARTA - A German car manufacturer, BMW has just launched the third luxury BMW i7 all-electric sedan. Known as BMW i7 eDrive50, this all-electric sedan will be placed under BMW i7 xDrive60 and M70 xDrive, and will be available from July 2023.

Reported by the BMW Group page, Wednesday, May 24, the BMW i7 eDrive50 comes with a rear wheel drive system only. Unlike the two top variants that use all-wheel drive.

The third model variant in the BMW i7 lineup comes with the latest BMW eDrive technology in the form of an integrated electric drive unit that provides a maximum output of 455 dk and a peak torque of 650 Nm. In contrast to i7 xDrive60 which can produce 543 dk of power and a 650 dk of M70 xDrive variant.

According to claims from manufacturers, the BMW i7 eDrive50 is capable of traveling from 0 to 100 km/h within 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 205 km/hour.

Although this new variant is the lowest variant, BMW has pinned the battery power above average. Thus, this car is capable of traveling 575 km to 611 km in a single charge.

Another interesting feature on this latest i7 is "Max Range". This feature is very useful for charging and eliminating driver anxiety will run out of me when the charging station is not available. So when the driver uses this feature, the car will automatically be limited to up to 90 km/hour to save the remaining battery power.

Another use of the Max Range feature is being able to turn off climate control, seat heating, and heating on the steering wheel to save on battery usage to increase the distance by 25 percent.
