Gisel Confesses Nicholas Saputra's Acting, Almost Kisses

JAKARTA - Gisella Anastasia tells of her latest acting project with Nicholas Saputra. It is known that the two of them starred in the musical film Melodrama directed by Garin Nugroho and had carried out the production process.

To Vincent and Desta, Gisel revealed that before receiving the film's offer, he explained that there was a kiss scene with Nicholas Saputra.

"This is my first musical film. The first offer was asked, later if there is a kiss scene with Nicholas Saputra, are you willing? Yes, I don't think," explained Gisel in Vindes.

"When it's his turn to shoot, it's said that of the many women who are the most intimate with Gisel, there will be scenes of all kinds of grbaks," he continued.

The scene was then questioned by Gisel. He just found out that the scene was abolished in the film. Apart from that, Gisel admitted that he was both happy and nervous when competing acting with Nicholas Saputra.

"When I was shooting, where was the scene? (I) Until I asked Mas Garin, 'Sorry, really, he said there was a kiss, which one?' Said Mas Garin, 'Not finished,'" he said again.

"But he's also singing, you know, his voice is good! I'm nervous, that's Nicholas Saputra. My role is a bit central and testing but that's how in front of him, nervous," said Gisel.

Gisel also admitted that he was helped by many of his co-stars in acting, especially this film being his first musical project combined with acting.

Melodrama is Garin Nugroho's latest film, starring Widi Mulia, Dira Sugandi, Monita Tahalea, Morgan Oey and others.

Melodrama tells the story of Layar, a popular film star who feels bored with his career. He then plans to create a musical theater with a family historical background that is still related to the history of Indonesian films.

This is my first musical film. What makes it interesting is that I carry a theme with the historical background of Indonesian cinema, telling the history of artists through choreography and songs and music," said Garin Nugroho.
