JAKARTA - One of the new modes of transportation, namely Light Rail Transit or Lintas Rel Terpadu (LRT) which connects Jakarta with surrounding buffer cities will soon operate, and it is certain that thousands of people will take advantage of this mode of transportation. Seeing this condition, PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) ensures that the data network is ready to serve the entire LRT route.

Head Network Operations XL Axiata Region Jabodetabek, Okrisimon, said that his party had checked the quality of the XL Axiata network along the Jabodebek LRT route.

"So far, we can confirm that all LRT lines including all stations located across Cibubur and across Bekasi have all been served by the 4G network. Thus, when the LRT is operational, XL Axiata customers will be able to access telecommunications services and data with good quality," he said in a written statement, Thursday, July 6.

Okrisimon added, the XL Axiata network team will continue to ensure network quality and see the potential and needs of the community or customers who will use the LRT, so that the entire XL Axiata network is ready if there is an increase in traffic when the LRT is fully operational.

Currently, the two LRT routes have been served by more than 2,300 4G BTS. Meanwhile, the XL Axiata network throughout DKI Jakarta Province has more than 10,400 BTS with the majority being 4G BTS, in Depok City supported by more than 1,400 BTS, while in the City and Bekasi Regency areas it is supported by more than 3,600 BTS, the majority of which are 4G BTS.
