Indonesia 2023 Construction Will Realize Sustainable Infrastructure Development

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will hold the 2023 Indonesia Construction by carrying the theme "Accelerated Digital Transformation of the Construction Sector to Realize Sustainable Infrastructure Development" at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, on November 1-3.

This activity is a form of support for the growth and development of the construction service sector through a series of agendas which are expected to be able to create business opportunities and become a booster for construction service stakeholders.

Director General of Construction Development of the Ministry of PUPR Rachman Arief Dienaputra said, Construction of Indonesia 2023 is here to provide information, innovation, and as a medium for government collaboration with stakeholders in the field of construction, both domestically and abroad to adapt to various challenges as well as opportunities, especially in the development of digital transformation and construction technology towards sustainable infrastructure development.

"This year marks the 20th anniversary of the implementation of Indonesian Construction which was first held in 2003. Indonesian Construction Activities are a forum for information for stakeholders in Indonesia and have witnessed the development of infrastructure in Indonesia for the past 20 years," said Rachman at the 2023 Indonesian Construction press conference at the PUPR Ministry Building, Jakarta, Thursday, June 15.

The series of Indonesian Construction activities in 2023 consist of five agendas, namely the Construction Competition, Photo and Video Competition, the preparation of the 2023 Indonesian Construction Book, National Call for Paper and Conference, and the ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineers (ACPE) Forum.

In addition, as a form of appreciation for the support, performance, and participation of stakeholders in the construction sector, there will also be the 2023 Indonesian Construction Services Award.

Later the award will be divided into several categories, namely coaching and supervising the implementation of construction services, fostering associations to members, as well as implementing TKDN or domestic products.

Then, there is the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM), project performance and the performance of the best company management, input experience data on the SIMPAN application, and the best election Working Group,

Furthermore, the implementation of the best risk management, implementation of the best construction safety management system, and orderly administration of construction contracts.

"The Construction Services Society is expected to attend and provide support for the implementation of the 2023 Indonesia Construction.
