Calls Truck Cars The Cause Of Fiber Optical Cables Reconnaissance, Dirlantas Polda Metro: Installing Cables Must Be Higher
JAKARTA - Director of Traffic of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman said, responding to the accident case experienced by Sultan Rif'at Alfatih due to theinerant cables in South Jakarta, must look thoroughly. The reason is, the road is used for the safety of motorists.
"Each relevant party (is responsible), all those involved in transportation must really pay attention to safety," said Kombes Latif when confirmed, Sunday, August 6.
In addition, Kombes Latif added, the air cable service provider should have installed cables on the highway in a higher position.
"So the people (Bali Tower) who installed it should be higher, should be. Because the vehicle can pass that road," he said.
This is to avoid cables that are transversely caught by a loaded truck. The reason is, the vehicle is allowed to pass through the road.
"Workers who install facilities must of course comply with these provisions. Whether the road is for motorbikes, only for trucks, should it be small vehicles. How high should it be, it must be adjusted. If there is a term because of nature for what reason, it is the responsibility of the owners who install (air cables). Their obligation is to check the facilities installed by the project," he said.
As is known, Bali's attorney, Tower Magdir Ismail, said that based on the animation of the engineering of the incident made by his party, Bali Tower's aerial cable was previously said not to hang down.

The cable began to sway after being caught and attracted by the truck that passed first before the Sultan's accident. After the aerial cable was caught and attracted, the condition of the northern cable stretched downwards. Then the cable chain was hit again by a mini bus vehicle until the cable was getting worse.
From the animation of the Bali Tower version of the reconstruction, after the aerial cable was hit by a mini bus, the cable position finally stretched down and hit the Sultan's neck.
"I said there was no negligence by the Bali tower in the incident. There was no element of negligence in this matter," Bali Tower's attorney, Magdir Ismail told reporters some time ago.
