KPK Will Coordinate With TNI Puspom While Searching The Basarnas Bribery Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will conduct a search to find evidence of a bribery case for the procurement of equipment at the National SAR Agency (Basarnas). The time is not yet known but investigators will definitely do it.

"Yes, of course, yes (to conduct a search, ed)," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata to reporters Monday night, July 31.

Later this search will be coordinated, said Alexander. This is because the case is now also being handled by the TNI POM after the Head of Basarnas Marshal Henri Alfiandi and Koorsmin Kabasarnas Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto were also named suspects.

"Surely later we will coordinate with the TNI puspom," he said.

Previously, the anti-corruption commission named Henri, who served as Kabasarnas along with his subordinates, Kabasarnas Administration Coordinator Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto as a suspect in receiving bribes. He is suspected of reaping a fee referred to as command funds of up to Rp88.3 billion.

The money was pocketed by a private party who wanted to work on projects at his institution from 2021-2023. The receipt was made through Afri.

Apart from Henri and Afri, the anti-corruption commission also determined three private parties who gave money during the silent operation. They are the President Commissioner of PT Multi Grafika Cipta Sejati Mulsunadi Gunawan, President Director of PT Intertekno Grafika Sejati Marilya, Managing Director of PT Kuntung Abadi Utama Roni Aidil.
