Ganjar's Ideas About National Defense Makes General Retired TNI/Polri Impressed
JAKARTA - The 2024 PDIP presidential candidate will be invited by hundreds of retired TNI / Polri officers at the Ngopi Together event at the Mercure Ancol Hotel, Jakarta, Sunday, July 30. Ganjar was invited to discuss and exchange ideas related to national defense and security in the future.
A total of 273 retired National Police officers gathered at the event entitled Ngopi Bareng Ganjar. Present were the former National Police Chief, namely Police General (ret) Bimantoro, Police General (ret) Rusman Hadi and Police General (ret) Da'i Bachtiar. Also present were the former TNI Commander, General Andika Perkasa.
A number of high-ranking TNI officers were also present at the event. Among them were TNI Admiral (ret) Bernard Kent Sondakh, TNI Marshal (ret) Agus Supriatna, TNI Intermediate Admiral (ret) Agus Setiadji, TNI Major General (ret) TB Hasanuddin and hundreds of other TNI and Polri generals.
In the event, Ganjar conveyed the importance of maintaining Indonesia's defense. According to him, what must be done immediately is to increase state revenue so that national defense can be strengthened.
"If the state's income is large, then the national defense must also be strong. So we have to increase the income somehow. There are many potential state revenues that have not been optimized," said Ganjar.
In addition, Ganjar also talked about the independence of the defense equipment industry. According to him, Indonesia has abundant human resources and natural resources that can make Indonesia an independent country in the defense industry sector.
"Our country must be strong, so defense equipment and completeness must be maximized. In terms of military industry we have, that is independence that we must develop. We call the nation's best children to complete our defense equipment industry," he said.
In addition, Ganjar also emphasized the importance of preparing a national defense system to face future wars. Not only defense equipment, in the future other defense systems must be prepared to protect the country from modern war.
"We must be ready with a new war of the future. In my opinion, not only defense equipment, but also proxies, digital defense and bio science. We must prepare universities, industry and research institutions. we must prepare and encourage it," he said.
Ganjar's statement amazed the generals and retired TNI / Polri. They are increasingly optimistic that Ganjar is the leader of Indonesia's future.
"Mas Ganjar is indeed the right person to nominate to become president. We are all supporters here," said the former TNI Commander, General TNI Andika Perkasa.
The same thing was conveyed by the former National Police Chief, Police General Da'i Bachtiar. He admitted that he was very impressed by Ganjar's ideas and ideas related to national defense and security.
"Yes, surprise, yes, the explanation is Mr. Ganjar. Earlier I commented, you told me that you are not the governor anymore, you are already the president of the story. So he is very mastery of how the Republic of Indonesia is," he said.
