Bibit X Hijack Collaboration Invites Indonesia's Young Generation To Invest In 'Style'

JAKARTA - Bibit.id, the leading digital investment application in Indonesia, announced its latest collaboration with Hijack Sandals, an Indonesian brand that was founded in 2010. Bibit x Hijack collaboration was marked by the launch of a limited collection of sandals named Vestio.

According to Head of Digital Marketing Bibit, Angie Anandita Tjhatra, Vestio comes from the word in Latin Vest which means dress. Over time, the definition of this word experiences the development of meaning to 'provide a person the power to do something'. From here, Vestio represents the message that anyone has the right to invest correctly in order to achieve their financial goals, both in the present and in the future.

This is the umpteenth time Bibit has collaborated with brands and lifestyle and culture communities. Fashion is a language that is easily understood by many people, and for us this is a joint movement to invite Indonesian youths to make investment part of their daily habits or lifestyle," explained Angie, in her statement, quoted Friday, July 28.

In line with Angie, Hijack Sandals Co-Founder Zaky Gufron, stated that collaboration with Bibit is a form of belief that investment and lifestyle, in this case fashion, are two important things in life that can go hand in hand.

Hijack Sandals is aware that there are many people who have not seen fashion as an investment and through this collaboration, we want to help to build a perspective that investment and fashion are two things that can go together," he said. Angie added that the presence of Bibit has helped nearly five million investors in more than 500 cities in Indonesia in investing in various asset classes such as mutual funds, primary and secondary government bonds such as Retail State Bonds (ORI), Savings Bond Retail (SBR), Sukuk Tabungan (ST), Sukuk Retail (SR), Project Based Sukuk (PBS), Fixed Rate (FR), and stocks.

He also emphasized Bibit's support for the Roadmap of the Indonesian Capital Market 2023-2027 launched by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). In this Roadmap, OJK targets the number of investors to reach >20 million Single Investor Identification (SID) by 2027, up almost twice that of the number of Indonesian investors in June 2022, where the figure is in the range of 11.2 million investors.

"In order to support this target, we realize that Bibit cannot do it alone. We welcome the collaboration with Hijack Sandals and will continue to present relevant innovations and collaborations to reach more Indonesian people," concluded Angie.
