Deputy Chairperson Of Jazilul: PKB Can Move Coalition To PDIP If Cak Imin Becomes A Vice Presidential Candidate
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid said his party opened the possibility to switch coalition mandates from Gerindra Party to PDI Perjuangan on the condition that the General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin becomes a candidate for vice president (cawapres).
"Yes, on the conditions above (to become a vice presidential candidate). The logic is that (change coalition)," said Jazilul in a statement released by ANTARA, Monday, July 24.
Jazilul emphasized that PKB will only form a coalition with political parties (political parties) who are willing to advance Cak Imin in the 2024 presidential election contestation.
"PKB will only form a coalition and continue to form a coalition with any party on the condition that Gus Imin becomes a presidential or vice presidential reading. That is the condition for fighting with PKB," he said.
However, he continued, Cak Imin is still working on this in the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) with the Gerindra Party.
"Gus Imin is finalizing his destiny with Pak Prabowo, who has been working together for 11 months. Yes, we are just trying our best because we cannot determine the course of fate," he said.
According to him, the statement by the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani, who said that Cak Imin was included as one of the five names as a candidate for vice president for Ganjar Pranowo, was also a breath of fresh air.
"I believe Mbak Puan's statement is not a lie, this is a breath of fresh air, we respect and appreciate," he said.
