Three Of The Six Suspects In The Procurement Of Bunting Cows In West Sumatra Have Been Detained
JAKARTA - The alleged corruption case in the procurement of bunting cattle for the 2021 fiscal year cost Rp35,017,340 billion. The West Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) revealed that in that case it had named six people as suspects.
"In this case, six people have been named as suspects by the investigative team, supported by valid evidence," said Head of the West Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office, Asnawi, Antara, Saturday, July 22.
However, of the six suspects, his party has only detained 3 people. However, his party has sent a summons.
"We have sent three suspects who have not been detained, they are expected to cooperate and fulfill the summons from investigators," he explained.
If you don't answer the summons three times, Asnawi continued, then the three suspects whose identities have not been disclosed to the public will be included in the People's Wanted List (DPO) for forced attempts.
Meanwhile, the three suspects who have been detained on Friday (17/4) are currently languishing in the Detention Center (Rutan) and the Padang Women's Prison, waiting for the complete case file by the investigative team.
The suspects are DM as the Budget User Authority and FH as the Activity Technical Implementation Officer (PPTK), both of whom are State Civil Apparatus at the Provincial Livestock Service.
Meanwhile, the third suspect is the Director of CV Emir Darul Hasan with the initials AAP as a partner in the bunting cattle procurement project.

Asnawi said the suspects were charged by the prosecutor with Article 2 paragraph (1), Juncto (Jo) Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
Asnawi, who was accompanied by Special Criminal Assistant Haliman, Intelligence Assistant Mustapqpirin, and others, explained that the case began when the West Sumatra Animal Husbandry and Health Service procured 2,082 flowering cows.
The procurement of bunting cattle was initially rolled out by the local provincial government with the aim of increasing the population of livestock in West Sumatra, even in the initial contract the sound of cows must be imported from outside West Sumatra.
The project, named the provision of seeds or livestock seeds and green animal feed, was finally carried out in the 2021 fiscal year with a ceiling of IDR 35,017,340 billion.
The details are 1,572 local cattle and 510 crossing cows that are poured into five work contracts, and are carried out by four different companies.
On its way, it turned out that there was a change in the contract (adendum) to replace the cow, which was originally a pregnant cow to a virgin cow.
"The cows were also purchased in the West Sumatra area, this action of course thwarted the government's mission to increase the population of livestock. We even found indications of price blogging," he said.
He said that from the results of the calculation, it was known that the state losses that arose as a result of the case reached Rp7.3 billion.
"The West Sumatra Prosecutor's Office will investigate this case thoroughly, anyone involved will be charged with legal processing," said Asnawi.
He said it was possible that there would be an additional six suspects who were now named by his party, because the investigation process is still ongoing.
