Budiman Sudjatmiko No Problem Called PDIP DPP Because He Met Prabowo

PDI-P politician (PDIP) Budiman Sudjatmiko admitted that he had no problem being summoned by the PDIP DPP after meeting with the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subiantol. Budiman admitted that he was ready for dialogue.

"Oh yes. What I'm not ready for if for example I'm called by the KPK. Why not call the KPK corruption. Called the DPP (PDIP, ed) normally. I usually discuss playing with ordinary DPPs," Budiman told reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, July 20.

Budiman admitted that he was ready to explain his visit because he considered it a normal thing. "We'll just have to see when the summons will take place. I'm ok. There's no problem," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Honorary Division of the PDIP DPP Komarudin Watubun said Budiman would be summoned in August. The party bearing the bull symbol will ask for clarity after its cadres meet Prabowo.

"Yes (the summons to Budiman, ed) in August. In early August," Komarudin told reporters.

Komarudin emphasized that his party's decision regarding the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) was clear. PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri appointed Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate (candidate).

So that if a party cadre deliberately encounters a political figure who is another presidential candidate, it is considered to have violated party rules. "I am all of us from Sabang to Merauke, even the world knows that the PDI-P candidate is Ganjar Pranowo," he said.

"When cadres come to other candidates, it's called against the party's decision, and it must be held accountable," he concluded.
