IKN Authority Emphasizes The Importance Of Local Residents' Involvement In Successful IKN Development
Special Staff for Sustainable Development of the Archipelago Capital Authority (IKN) Diany Sadiawati emphasized the importance of involving local residents to make the development of IKN Nusantara successful.
"The involvement of local communities is very important for the success of the archipelago," said Diany Sadiawati in a statement, in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 19, which was confiscated by Antara.
He added that community involvement is carried out through education and initiatives that promote sustainable practices, conservation efforts, and environmental management, as well as ecotourism which will create a sustainable economy for local communities.
In addition, IKN Nusantara adopted a multi-stakeholder partnership, consisting of government agencies, local communities, businesses, civil society organizations, and academics.
According to him, this is to ensure the smooth implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs).
"Collaboration and partnership are important modalities to ensure a comprehensive and comprehensive implementation approach," he said.

He added that his institution is also collaborating with international organizations to develop basic biodiversity and conservation strategies as a guide in the development process of IKN Nusantara.
He said the presence of the Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) in the 2023 ECOOC High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HPLF) which took place on July 10 20, 2023 in one of the conference rooms at the New York United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ) was an effort to be connected to the global movement in aligning city development with Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs.
The 2023 HLPF world-level meeting was attended by delegates from 196 countries.
On this occasion, a seminar entitled "Driving Changes at the Local level: Innovative Approaches to Localize the SDGs" was also held.
The seminar will take place on July 17, 2023, held by the Delegation of the Republic of Indonesia with the support of the organizers by UNDP, United Cities and UCLG.
