Synopsis Of The Film Jendela Seribu Sungai, Perjuangan Anak-anak Banjarmasin Mencapai Dream

JAKARTA - The film Jendela Seribu Sungai will hit theaters starting July 20. This film tells the story of the culture and struggle of the original children of Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.

The Thousand Sungai Window tells the story of three children, namely Bunga (Sheryl Drisana Kuntadi), Kejora (Halisa Naura), and Arian (Bima Sena) who live on the banks of the Martapura River, Banjarmasin. They keep the ideals that are held hostage by the wishes and hopes of their parents.

Flowers with special needs must bury them in their dreams as dancers. Arian wants to continue the tradition of culinary artists, however, Abah asked only to make it a hobby until Kejora, who is good at mathematics, is forced to continue the family tradition as a balian (dukun).

In addition to the three main characters, the film Jendela Seribu Sungai is getting better with the roles of Mathias Muchus (Awat), Ariyo Wahab (Abah Arian), Baim (Damang Isman), Olla Ramlan (Uma Arian), Bopak Castello (Daim), Agla Artalidia (Teacher Sheila), and Ajil Ditto (Arian Adult). The film was also enlivened by the performance of the vocalist of the band Radja, Ian Kasela as a cameo.

At the premiere of the Thousand Sungai Window at XXI Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 17 evening, the Mayor of Banjarmasin, Ibnu Sina, who also acts as executive producer, said that the film is expected to be the most beautiful gift for Banjarmasin City which will soon celebrate its 497th anniversary.

"That we can make films and we can raise the potential for Banjarmasin tourism, besides the original and very touching story idea, about enthusiasm and struggle. Hopefully this will be the most beautiful gift for our citizens," said Ibnu.

In addition to being the pride of the people of Banjarmasin and being able to raise tourism potential by highlighting the beauty of the city and nature of the Thousand Rivers City, Ibnu said that the film Jendela Seribu Sungai is also an effort by the city government to provide space for creation and collaboration for its people.

"We want to provide the greatest possible space for Banjarmasin children to explore, be creative, innovate, and collaborate," he said.

The family film, which will be released on July 20, 2023, is also to celebrate National Children's Day which falls on July 23.

The film, which is almost half of the original players from Banjarmasin, tells the stories of children's struggles to pursue dreams with all their backgrounds, including children with special needs.

"Like the Martapura River water, dreams like rivers that continue to flow even though we feel that the canal is deadlocked but we must fight for it, including for children with disabilities. Interest's role is as a disability, and we hope that children with disabilities can succeed," said Ibnu.
