PLN NTT Distributes Electricity For Residents Of 9 Hamlets On Flores Island
PT PLN (Persero) Main Unit of the East Nusa Tenggara Region flows electricity to meet the needs of residents in nine hamlets spread across three districts on Flores Island."The electricity supply for residents in these nine hamlets can finally be realized to meet their expectations of enjoying PLN electricity for various needs," said PLN UIW NTT Electricity Project Implementation Unit (UP2K) Manager Albertus Koko in a statement received in Kupang, Antara, Sunday, July 16.The nine hamlets are Redo Hamlet in Urang Village, Topolak Hamlet in Golo Langko Village, Pau Hamlet in Bangka Aja Village, Wrecang Hamlet, Nara Hamlet, and Timbang Hamlet in Ladur Village, Manggarai Regency.In addition, Wae Ciu Hamlet, in Satar Padut Village, East Manggarai Regency, namely Detubera Hamlet and Lioboto Hamlet in Detouwulu Village, Ende Regency.Koko explained that the first electric lighting had been carried out for as many as 107 customers out of a total of 727 customers spread across the nine hamlets.Various electricity infrastructures, he said, have been built to deliver electricity to the nine hamlets, such as medium voltage networks of 12.19 kilometers of circuits (km, low voltage networks of 36.69 kms, and four substation units with a capacity of 200 kilo volt ampere (kva).Furthermore, he said, the construction of the electricity network to the hamlets was not easy because of the enormous challenges in the form of natural topography conditions in the form of hills and forests, damaged road access and so on."However, it did not dampen our enthusiasm because of the support from all parties so that the network development could be completed properly," he said.Koko expressed his gratitude for the support of local government elements from regents, sub-district heads, village heads, as well as community leaders, religious shops, traditional leaders and all people who help PLN facilitate the construction of electricity networks.He hopes that the network that has been built can be immediately utilized by the community by applying for a new connector in their respective homes."We also hope that residents will help maintain the network because if there is a disturbance or problem on the network, the impact will be on the residents themselves," he said.Meanwhile, the Village Head of Satar Padut Fabianus Kabun appreciated PLN's hard work to bring electricity to residents in hamlets including Wae Ciu Hamlet in local villages."We are very grateful to PLN because the long hopes of residents to enjoy PLN electricity have finally materialized," he said.
