"We Rita Sherpa, 53, reached the top via traditional southeast mountain routes," Nepalese tourism official Bigyan Koirala said.
This is the second climb of the Sherpa this spring, after on May 17 he broke the record 27 times beating Everest. The expedition was organized by Chhang Dawa Sherpa, Seven Summit Trek's Expedition Manager.
Dipeloporized by the first mountaineer, Sirten Hillary of New Zealand and Sherpa Tengg Norgay in 1953, the traditional route traveled by Kami Rita remains the most popular route to the highest peak in the world.
